In 2015, Vulcain concentrated on the graphic deve- lopment of its main collections, offering a number of redesigned manufacture models. This year, the Le Locle-based brand has chosen to focus more deeply on something at core of its identity: the Cricket calibre. The Vulcain Watch Manufacture looks forward to meeting you at the Baselworld watchmaking trade fair, where we will present a new manufacture movement: the V-40, and launch new models which feature it.

V-40, VERSION 2.0 OF THE LEGENDARY CRICKET CALIBRE

This year, the Le Locle-based brand presents a new version of the Cricket movement: the V-40. This calibre represents not only a technical improvement, but also a break with the aesthetic codes of the original 50s Pres- ident’s Watch range, and adds a touch of modernity and originality to this iconic collection. Four new models will be unveiled at the annual watchmaking event.

THE ANNIVERSARY HEART, EMBLEMATIC AND ICONIC

The year was 2008, and in homage to a rich and pas- sionate 150-year history, Vulcain launched a unique model - the Anniversary Heart. Available as a limited edition, for the first time it revealed its heart through a semi-skeleton dial. It is now one of the centrepieces of the Vulcain range, and the Le Locle-based manufacture has focused on its development to offer a brand new version which will be unveiled at the Baselworld 2016 trade fair.

CLOISONNÉ ENAMEL, A VULCAIN TRADITION

Remaining faithful to its history, the Le Locle-based Ma- nufacture has added a new model to its “Métier d’Art” collection. Following on from “Le Vulcain” in 2015, Vul- cain pays a fresh tribute to Greek mythology in the form of Poseidon, god of the seas and oceans. This new model represents both strength and elegance, two fundamen- tal values that the brand’s designers keep firmly in mind when creating each timepiece.

THE CLASSIC AND HERITAGE FAMILIES EX- PAND

Drawing their aesthetic inspiration from the models of the 1950s, these timepieces now represent two ranges which are inseparable from the history of Vulcain. The Manufacture has therefore quite naturally decided to re- visit them, adding a dash of youthful style to their classic character.

FEMININE EXCLUSIVITY

This year, femininity and refinement will be the wat- chwords of Baselworld 2016. Vulcain has expanded its “First Lady” women’s collection with the addition of a new, unique piece elegantly set with precious stones, in an ultra-limited edition of just 10 pieces.
