Every piece of jewelry, timepiece and creation that emanates from the House of Harry Winston bears the unmistakable spirit of its founder whose ability to transform nature’s bounties into objects of everlasting beauty was legendary. When timepieces were introduced in 1989, the same tenets were applied and the Premier Collection was created to honor the rich legacy of our founder; architectural details of the façade of our Fifth Avenue Flagship Boutique were replicated on the case and the dial was presented as a blank canvas for our jewelers and artists to exercise their creativity.

The Premier Pearly Lace Automatic 36mm in white gold marries the opalescent allure of mother-of-pearl with the feminine delicacy of lace. But there is more than meets the eye because the dainty lacework is in fact directly cut from a wafer-thin disc of mother- of-pearl of just 0.20 mm of thickness.

The delicate lace pattern cut into the superior white mother-of-pearl disc takes its cues from nature combining floral and sun ray motifs which emanate from the center of the dial. The undulating pattern of the lacework is then superimposed on another layer of celestial blue mother-of-pearl. The mercurial tonalities of the blue mother-of-pearl disc are revealed through the lacy reticule creating a sublime game of contrasts, volume and motion. The effect is mesmerizing as the light picks out the iridescent beauty of the nacre. To frame and illuminate the artistic dial, 57 brilliant-cut diamonds have been set on the bezel and lugs and an inverted diamond sits regally in the crown.

A beautiful timepiece deserves a beautiful movement and the new Premier Pearly Lace Automatic 36mm timepiece has been fitted with the HW2008 automatic movement equipped with a flat silicon balance spring ensuring timeless performance. Decorated with circular Côtes de Genève and rhodium plating, the movement can be admired through the sapphire crystal case back.

Presented on a blue alligator strap with an ardillon buckle sparkling with 17 brilliant-cut diamonds, a variation on the theme includes a burgundy model with stunning Tahitian mother-of-pearl lacework and a rich burgundy mother-of-pearl dial. Each and every model of this collection can be considered unique thanks to the fact that Mother Nature never makes two shells identical to one another.
